The String Cheese Incident announced their fall headline tour today. They will play several Incidents beginning with two nights in Minneapolis on October 14. They will also play Milwaukee, Detroit, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Boston and finally New York where they will play two nights at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.
“There is nothing like touring through the Midwest and Northeast in the fall,” said bass player Keith Moseley. “We are psyched to get on the bus for a few weeks and hit some places we have not been to in a while. It all leads into the third annual Suwannee Hulaween in Florida which we expect to be next level this year.”
Pre-sales for these Incidents will begin on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM MST at https://sci.frontgatetickets.com/. Tickets will go on sale to the public on either Friday, August 7, 2015 or Saturday, August 8, 2015 (depending on the market). Check www.stringcheeseincident.com for more information.
In addition to their fall headline tour, The String Cheese Incident will be playing two nights at Lockn’ Music Festival September 10-11, 2015 in Arrington, VA, one night of which they will be playing with The Doobie Brothers under the name, The Doobie Incident. They are also headlining their three-night Halloween extravaganza Suwannee Hulaween October 30 – November 1, 2015 in Live Oak, FL which will feature performances by Pretty Lights, Primus, Chance The Rapper & The Social Experiment, STS9, ODESZA, Slightly Stoopid and many more. The String Cheese Incident will end the year with their fourth annual New Year’s Eve headline shows in Broomfield, CO December 31 – January 2, 2016.
The String Cheese Incident have been playing many dates and festivals this year so far bringing their hugely successful Winter Carnival tour across the western half of the U.S. They have also headlined three nights at Electric Forest, two nights at High Sierra Music Festival, Gathering of the Vibes and three nights at Red Rocks which Jambands.com said, “…delivering three nights of virtuosic playing vibes to a sold-out crowd… amplified by a crystal-clear sound system and a spectacular light display which swathed the stage…the concert was raucous celebration of everything SCI fans have come to expect from the band over its 22-year career: a wide-ranging setlist, inspired jamming, and a reason for everyone with two legs in the vicinity of the stage to dance… SCI was simply on fire, and seemed to tap every measure of creativity and musicianship they brought with them to the stage.”
The String Cheese Incident released Song In My Head, their first studio album in nine years on April 29, 2014 through SCI Fidelity Records/Loud & Proud Records. The album was produced by Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads and included 10 new songs written collaboratively by the group over the past few years.
