Nashville band, The Delta Saints will release Bones on Loud & Proud Records tomorrow, August 7, 2015. Bones was produced, engineered and mixed by Third Man Records alum, Eddie Spear who has assisted on projects with Jack White, Arctic Monkeys and Neil Young to name a few. The band has been garnering praise from the press for a sound that recalls the likes of My Morning Jacket and The Black Keys.

Today, Elmore Magazine, is streaming the entire album referring to its “…roots-y vocals, gritty lyrics, and expansive, rollicking instrumentation” ahead of tomorrow’s release – listen HERE.  Popmatters premiered the track, “Heavy Hammer” saying, “…it finds the Nashville band doing what they do best: Melding barroom rock with swampy blues…With its wicked use of slide guitar and undeniable groove, it echoes the Black Keys, Clutch, and Led Zeppelin all at once…” while Relix recently premiered the video for the song – watch it HERE.

Early press reviews have been stellar.

“…a killer rock band…If you dig ethereal rock in the vein of My Morning Jacket or gritty roots like The White Stripes, check these guys out.”

“…a swampy sound with a kick, born of their native bayou surroundings…sleepy tempos match reflective lyrics…The real sticking points occur when the band races away with songs like ‘Heavy Hammer,’ as if the rhythmic traditions of their bluesy past are too restrictive to hold them any longer.”

“Bones is a full-throttle rock ’n’ roll affair, with crashing drums, arena-sized vocals, and a big, layered sound full of texture and nuance. Imagine My Morning Jacket joining forces with Dead Weather—or, in the tamer moments, the Black Keys—and you’re on the right track.”

“The Nashville five-piece is back with a soulful fury on Bones, which features a cavalcade of sexy stompers, howling blues and all the gritty rock you can handle…”

“Whether The Delta Saints are roots, rock or R&B depends on who you ask. That’s because the Nashville-based band blends the three fluidly, then mixes in some gospel and country for good measure.”

The Delta Saints are a global touring band (see all upcoming tour dates below), having spent the last eight years playing the U.S. and Europe averaging about 200 shows per year, organically growing their audience fan by fan, city by city, country by country.  They have made several major festival appearances in the U.S. at Wakarusa (which they played again this year), Summer Camp, Harvest, The Ride, Summerfest and The Simple Man Cruise. Having a large international fan base as well, The Delta Saints have toured Europe a total of six times, selling out countless venues and playing hundreds of shows in Spain, Sweden, France, Switzerland and Germany, as well as several festivals in Holland (Moulin Blues, Ribs and Blues), Belgium (Gevarenwinkel) and Germany (Grolsch Blues Fest).

Loud & Proud Records will release Bones in North America through RED Distribution (a division of Sony Music Entertainment) and earMUSIC will release it in the rest of the world.
