Today, Jonathan Jackson + Enation announced the first leg of their Radio Cinematic tour celebrating the release of their fourth studio album Radio Cinematic which came out October 14th, 2014 through Loud & Proud Records. Radio Cinematic is an album that Rolling Stone says is …”Filled with electric guitars, chest-beating vocals and swirling synths…” while Billboard Magazine calls it “…contemporary, anthemic rock — Jackson proudly wears the influence of U2, Peter Gabriel and Coldplay on his sleeve as influences — is certainly something different…”
Tour dates will begin May 22, 2015 in Nashville, TN and tickets are on sale now through the band’s website HERE. VIP packages will also be available through each of the venue websites. “It will be the biggest tour we have ever done,” singer, songwriter, guitar player and pianist Jonathan Jackson says. “The response to Radio Cinematic and in particular our song ‘Cinematic’ has been tremendous so while I am on my summer break from filming my TV show we are looking forward to getting out on the road to play the record for everyone. What better way to express these songs than in a live environment with the visceral energy of the crowd with us.” The second leg of the tour will be announced soon.
The band is also getting ready to release their second single, the swelling, emotional anthem “Cinematic” – a tug of war between simmering piano and Jonathan’s soaring falsettos that blends electronic drum loops and orchestration. Their previous single, the guitar driven anthem “Everything Is Possible,” introduced the alt-rock band to a national audience with live performances on The View and VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live (Watch it HERE) among others as well as playing at sold out radio shows across the country and performing alongside artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Echosmith, Andy Grammer, American Authors and Matt Nathanson. Billboard Magazine included the song in their “Tomorrow’s Hits, a weekly look at new and noteworthy acts making their way toward Billboard chart success.”
Jonathan Jackson + Enation recorded Radio Cinematic in Nashville, TN with co-producer Greg Archilla (Matchbox 20, Collective Soul) and Patrick Dillett (David Byrne, The National). The idea behind Radio Cinematic, Jonathan explains as “the interconnection between sight and sound, the visual and auditory experiences that move us and shape our lives.”
In addition to playing several tour dates across the country this spring and summer, Jonathan Jackson + Enation will also play a special acoustic set on Record Store Day April 18, 2015 at Grimey’s in Nashville. Jonathan Jackson + Enation is Jonathan Jackson (vocals, guitar), Richard Lee Jackson (drums) and Daniel Sweatt (bass).
